A Tynietoy Wing Chair, Lowboy and Sterling Silver Accessories

The beautiful wing chair is painted black with parrots in blue, green, yellow and a brown/coral.  The parrots are perched on limbs of shrubs and trees with a variety of flowers. This type of painting does resemble needlework which was so often done on wing chairs.  Next to the wing chair is a lightly stained mahogany lowboy with a narrow drawer at the top and square drawers below. The painted shell in the middle is like a secret drawer in that it has no knob on the front and might be perceived as a decoration. The cabriole legs really add something special to the charm of this piece. It is also a piece of furniture that can display wonderful accessories. There is a three piece set of sterling consisting of a tray, a goblet and delicate sauce container.

Measurements: The wing chair is 4-3/4h. The low boy is 2-3/4h. x 3-3/4w. The sterling silver tray is 2-3/4w.

Circa: 1920s-1930s

Price: Wing chair = SOLD; Lowboy = $95; Set of sterling = $65
