A Schneegas Parlor Set
This set consists of a sofa, two arm chairs and two side chairs upholstered in a deep crimson velvet. The fabric is in wonderful condition. The back of the sofa has three divided parts with fabric and framed with turned posts with fancy cut out pediments on top. Curved arms are found on each end with matching tassels around three sides of the sofa. The original paper is still intact on the back in perfect condition. An arm chair has the same features except the pediment on top is slightly different in style and the front legs are slightly turned and higher. The two side chairs match the arm chair , minus the arms. Offered as a separate piece of furniture is the turtle top marble table mounted on four sprawling legs. Also the hall tree is also a separate piece and that piece has 8 holders to hang hats, scarves, coats etc. and is mounted on a turned base with three sprawling feet. A great grouping for collectors of Schneegas furniture.
